Eighth All-Russia Congress

Financial University international students participated in the Eighth All-Russia Congress of the Association of International Students of Russia. 

The Congress was held on 15-17 October in Yekaterinburg on the premises of the Ural State University of Economics. The Congress was attended by Alyona Baglay, a 3-year students of the Faculty of Public Administration and Financial Control, Anet Khishba, a 2-year student of the Faculty of Management, co-chairs of the International Student Club, and  Anatoly Kislyakov, Head of the International Student and Visiting Professor Department. 

International students from 33 Russian universities representing 37 countries of the world participated in the Congress. During the sessions, the students discussed adaptation of the students to the new learning environment, their engagement in the academic and extracurricular activities, and development of communications between different countries' and continents' representatives. 

After the Congress, Adu Yao Nikez, President of the Association, will send the final Resolution to the Presidential Executive Office and the Government of the Russian Federation. The Resolution will describe the most pressing international students' issues that need to be addressed in the near future. 

According to the co-chairs of the International Student Club, participation in the Congress has given them an opportunity to examine and become aware of the issues that the international students face in Russia, meet international student community representatives from other universities and learn from the experience shared in order to organize such productive events at the Financial University in the future. 

We will follow theInternational Student Club members' progress. The Russian Speaking Club launch is the next item on our agenda, so the international students will have an opportunity to brush up their Russian-language vocabulary and make new friends.
