A gala reception was held on 21 October 2019 at the Pushkin State Museum of fine Arts on the occasion of the national holiday, the Republic Day marking the beginning of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. 

At the beginning of the event, Mr. Norbert Konkoly, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Russia, offered a welcoming address. He said that good commercial, economic, humanitarian, political and cultural ties kept developing between Hungary and Russia. 

Alexander Linnikov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, and Maxim Kotelnikov, Deputy Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, greeted Mr. Norbert Konkoly on behalf of the Financial University. 

The Day of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 is the day of 23 October. It is a national holiday marked annually when they honor the memory of the Hungarian people who rose in rebellion against the communist regime. The day of 23 October is also the day when the Republic of Hungary was proclaimed.
