On 3 August, the Financial University was visited by Mr Rahul Chhabra, Deputy Director of the International Relations Office at Lovely Professional University (LPU), Phagwara, Punjab, Republic of India.
Lovely Professional University (LPU) is the largest private university in India, founded in 2005. It is a multidisciplinary institution offering over 150 educational programmes at the undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and diploma levels. The most sought-after fields include engineering, business administration, information technology, pharmaceutical sciences, law, design, and hospitality management.
LPU is distinguished by a high degree of internationalisation: the university enrols students from dozens of countries and provides a dedicated support and guidance system for international students.
The Financial University was represented at the meeting by:
- Liliya V. Prikhodko, Director for International Cooperation, and
- Igor S. Skvortsov, Head of the International Relations Department.
During the working meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further development of cooperation between the two universities. Particular attention was paid to the renewal of existing cooperation agreements, the implementation of academic exchange programmes, and the practical aspects of organising student exchanges.
As part of the visit, the Indian guest was introduced to the educational infrastructure of the Financial University. During a guided tour of the campus, Mr Chhabra was shown academic and public spaces, briefed on the university’s key areas of activity, and acquainted with the exhibition of the University History Museum.
The meeting reaffirmed the mutual interest of both parties in continuing cooperation and developing academic exchanges between the Financial University and Lovely Professional University.
