Infrastructure

The Financial University campus in Penza is located in the historic part of the city. The modern academic building includes: lecture halls equipped with multimedia facilities, interactive panels, and projectors; three computer labs; a language lab; a library and reading room; a cafeteria and co-working zones with Wi-Fi access. The sports complex allows students to participate in sports classes like "Physical Education and Sports" as well as elective activities such as football, volleyball, basketball, and more. All international students are accommodated in comfortable student halls of residence (arranged through a partnership with a university partner).

Adaptation and Student Support

The Penza campus has a well-developed adaptation system for international students. Mentors from senior students and tutor lecturers will help familiarize you with Russian culture, traditions, and customs. The campus hosts events such as “Freshers’ Day,” “Cuisine of the Nations,” sports competitions, excursions, and masterclasses. All these activities help our international students develop not only academically but also creatively.

Russian-Chinese Center

In June 2025, at the initiative of the Penza region government, the Russian-Chinese Center was established. Its goal is to strengthen economic and socio-cultural ties between the Penza region and China. The Center involves faculty from the Penza campus, as well as students and alumni from China. Students of the Penza campus who are citizens of China were engaged by the Ministry of Economic Development and Industry for the Penza region as expert interpreters for B2B sessions with Chinese partners.

Research and Scientific Work

Bachelor’s and master's students at the Penza campus who are international citizens actively participate in research and project activities. Together with faculty members, students prepare scientific reports on international topics and present at regional and international scientific-practical conferences. The experience gained in scientific research, public speaking, and publishing is invaluable for their future professional careers.

Quotas Set by the Russian Government for International Students

The Penza campus of the Financial University accepts international students and stateless persons, including compatriots living abroad, through quotas allocated by the Russian Government.  

The university has the right to select students independently within the quota, and for this purpose, it conducts the Financial University International Olympiad for Youth and/or an International Intellectual Competition (portfolio contest).

Student Exchange Programs

Since 2021, the Penza campus has been running a joint double degree program with the Shandong University of Finance and Economics (China, Shandong Province) in the bachelor’s field 38.03.01 "Economics," profile “Accounting, Analysis, and Auditing.”  

Over 60 students from China have successfully completed the program and received diplomas from both the Shandong University and the Financial University.  

50 graduates continued their studies at the Penza campus in master’s programs, including students who won the International Olympiad for Youth and obtained free education under the quota of the Russian Government.  

The Penza campus is open to cooperation with foreign universities for student exchange and joint bachelor’s and master’s programs.

To start studying at the Penza campus of the Financial University with foreign education and documents, please prepare all necessary paperwork in advance. First, you need to undergo a preliminary recognition procedure.

All international students are provided with accommodation in a comfortable hall of residence (through an agreement with a partner university in Penza).
