The Krasnodar Campus of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation is one of the leading higher education institutions in Southern Russia and a recognized leader in economic education in the Krasnodar Krai.

For over 30 years, the Financial University's campus in Krasnodar has been training highly qualified professionals in finance, economics, management, information technology (IT), and business informatics. Our graduates build successful careers at major enterprises, banks, insurance and leasing companies, as well as in government and local self-government bodies across the Krasnodar Krai and other regions of the Southern Federal District.

Krasnodar Campus of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation

The Financial University Campus in Krasnodar has been operating since March 31, 1994. Its founder and first director was Harry Borisovich Tubis, Honored Economist of Kuban, Honorary Worker of Higher Education, and PhD in Technical Sciences. From 2007 to 2011, the campus was led by Rinad Alexandrovich Popov, Doctor of Economics and Professor. Since 2012, the campus has been directed by Eduard Vasilyevich Sobolev, PhD in Technical Sciences and Associate Professor. The campus features fully equipped classrooms with projectors, interactive panels, and other modern teaching tools, along with computer labs running hardware updated on a five-year cycle. Students also have access to a library and a cafeteria offering hot meals.

Since 2004, the Financial University campus in Krasnodar has been located at Shosse Neftyanikov Street, 32. The building and all campus facilities are fully accessible to persons with disabilities, including those with mobility, hearing, and visual impairments.

Prior to 2014, the Krasnodar campus offered part-time programmes exclusively in economics-related fields. Full-time programmes were introduced in 2014.

Research & Partnerships

A research laboratory was established on campus in 2015 under the leadership of Professor Evgeny Demekhin, Doctor of Science in Physics and Mathematics, a renowned scholar who continues to direct its work today. That same year, the Department of Economics and Finance launched the research school Financial and Investment Frameworks for Regional Socio-Economic Development, led by Professor Ludmila Igonina, Doctor in Economics and Honoured Worker of Higher Education.

Continued Growth

Between 2022 and 2024, new bachelor's and master's programmes were introduced: Applied Mathematics and Computer Science and Systems Analysis and Control. The campus plans to expand its academic portfolio further beyond the economics discipline group.

Student Council

The Student Council is the organisation that represents student interests within the university. We organise events, support the student community, and collaborate with the administration to improve both the academic experience and overall university life. We also help resolve current student issues and foster creative and social potential, serving as a vital platform for active and proactive students.

Sports

Sports are an integral part of student life at the Financial University’s Krasnodar campus. Our active Student Sports Committee organises and hosts a variety of competitions. An annual highlight is the Freshman Sports Festival, which features four stages: chess and checkers, table tennis, 3x3 basketball, and volleyball. At the conclusion of the events, the most athletic and cohesive student group at the university is recognised.

Residence hall

While the Krasnodar campus does not operate its own dedicated residence hall, this actually works to our students' advantage. The campus facilitates comfortable accommodation through a rental agreement at a nearby modern student residence (Krasnodar, Rashpilevskaya Street, 341, managed by LLC Asstec). "Unlike the outdated infrastructure of many traditional university residence halls, this facility offers modern, comfortable living conditions. At just 6,000 RUB per month, it is a highly affordable option for those who value a cosy environment and a convenient location close to the campus.

The Student Research Society unites students passionate about science and academic inquiry. We organize events, conferences, and research clubs, and support students in developing their own ideas and publishing academic papers.
