IFF's projects in celebration of the 100-year anniversary of the Financial University
On October the 20th 2017 a meeting with Alexander Melnikov, Professor of the University of Alberta, was held in order to organize a series of meetings with IFF students in 2018 ( responsible - A. I. Ilinsky, T. A. Goroshnikova).
On December 6, 2017, the Embassy of Switzerland held a meeting with Professor Wilfred Lux in the format of "Carte-Blanche-Event" (Responsible - A. I. Ilyinsky, T. A. Goroshnikov).
Student-activists of the Scientific Student Society formed as a group. They are interested in financial technologies, crypto – currencies, and are going to take part in the International Seminars in 2018. Seminars with the use of distance technologies are planned along with leading international universities-partners. The best works will be published in the anniversary issue of “Review of Business and Economics Studies" for 2018 year (Responsible - I. Ilyinsky, T. A. Goroshnikova, M. I. Sidorova).
Meetings with pupils and university entrants were held as a part of the "FinRise" event on October 22nd and November18th in 2017 (Responsible - E.S. Smakhtin).
Students of the International Finance Faculty, Vladislav Trubnikov and Alyona Strelnikova, prepared a computer program for the local trading system using crypto-currency for Russian farmers. They did so as part of their student incubator of startups on cryptocurrency and financial technologies (Responsible - A. I. Ilyinsky, T. A. Goroshnikova).
Three research projects were created as well that looked at the problem of weather risks and transition of transport. The Moscow region to gas-motor fuel, as well as a creation of repository of economic-mathematical models of the world economy were successfully discussed and studied along with students of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). Currently, there is a preparation of partnership with WPI and representatives of the American partner University scientific projects for the anniversary 2018 (Responsible-AI Ilyinsky).
The Dean of IFF, Alexander Ilyinsky, and Deputy Dean - Tatyana Goroshnikova - took part in the publication of the collective monographs, named "The labour potential of modernization: forecasting the needs of innovative economy in qualified personnel (regional and national aspects)".
