Anton Siluanov, Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Economics of the Financial University, was the first to take the floor to greet the University staff. He first read out the greetings from President Vladimir Putin. It read as follows:

Over the past years, the University has gone a long way, it was a period packed with events. The University has become a renowned research and education center, one of the most in-demand Russian universities. It is a practice- and innovation-oriented institution with strong international ties, a wide network of regional branches and representative offices, and this allow you to train highly-qualified experts who work in the financial sector, banks, other economic sectors, government institutions, do the research and are engaged in didactic work.

Then Anton Siluanov offered his own greetings. He said:

I graduated from the Moscow Institute of Finance, as it was then called, more than 30 years ago. It was a small building on Ulitsa Kibalchicha. Today, it is one of the largest multi-field education centers with a modern campus buildings that incorporates branches located throughout Russia. The Financial University is one of the best education institutions in the country, a leader in training highly-qualified experts for the Russian economy.

Anton Siluanov also mentioned that the University was the place where he not only acquired fundamental knowledge, but also made good friends.

Greetings were also sent by Dmitry Medvedev, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation. Tatiana Golikova, Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the Russian Federation, Dean of the Faculty of Public Administration and Financial Control of the Financial University, read out the greetings. It read as follows:

A reliable financial system is one of the foundations of the modern state. It is a prerequisite for its technological, social and economic development. It cannot be built without qualified experts who are ready to solve the most important problems the country faces. Your University trains precisely such creative thinkers who can paint the big picture.   

She then offered her own greetings to the audience: 

Today, the Financial University is a large, dynamically developing education and research center that plays an important part in the development of Russia's intellectual, social, and economic resources. Over the past few years, new Faculties, Departments and research centers have been opened and a truly excellent team of instructors has been engaged in teaching. They combine wisdom, professionalism, teaching and life experience. I am sure that the Financial University's future development for the benefit of the Russian education system and science will be dynamic and fruitful.    

Alla Gryaznova, President of the Financial University, Honored Scholar of the Russian Federation, offered her own greetings. The audience gave her a standing ovation. She said:

I am 81 years old and 60 years of my life are associated with the Financial University. I am proud to be associated with it and its stellar graduates. It is symbolic that the first diploma I signed when I occupied the rector's position in the Moscow Institute of Finance, as it was then called, was the diploma of Anton Siluanov, Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation. Of course, I am extremely proud of the fact.

 Alla Gryaznova wished the University prosperity and success.

After the official ceremony, a festive concert was organized.  Valeria, Lev Leshchenko, Igor Nikolayev, Larisa Dolina, Kristina Orbakaite, Grigory Leps and many others famous Russian pop performers performed for the audience. Pop singer Rodion Gazmanov, a graduate of the Financial University who had a diploma cum laude, also performed on stage. He said one should not underestimate the training that the Financial University provided. He added he was grateful for the wonderful years he spent in the University.

At the end of the celebration, the most renowned members of the University teaching staff appeared on stage and Mikhail Eskindarov, the University Rector, took the floor. He said the University produced the most valuable capital, the excellent human resources that could be beneficial for the economy of this country, Russia, our fatherland that the University would like to extol.
