On February 15, 2019, there was an excursion to the Financial Museum for foreign students of the FinU.
The International Students and Faculty Department organized this excursion. There were the students from Moldova, Cameroon, Salvador, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ecuador among the visitors.
The museum was made in 1939-1940. Originally, it was a numismatic collection, which showed the history of money in Europe from the 16th century until now.
By the FinU 90th anniversary there was made an expo center, which is still keeping developing. There are different exhibitions without limitation to one concerning 100 years of FinU history, its rectors and distinguished alumni. And some of them were those who gave many items to the Financial Museum.
During the excursion, which was devoted to the history of Russian finance during the period of 1917 – 2017, Natalia Chirkova, chief guardian of the items told about the changes in the financial lifecycle of Russian society influenced by the revolution, wars and reforms.
This excursion has been conducted during the events made for the centenary of the Financial University.
The next excursion will be held on February 28.
